Contractors are on site trying to fix the problem The phone network remains down at one of the main hospitals in north Wales following heavy rain and lightning.The problem arose at Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor early on Saturday morning and managers say they are working hard to "keep all services safe and operational".
Calls from outside the hospital are being answered by the switchboard at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, Bodelwyddan.
More staff have been brought in as a contingency.
Hospital services are said to be running as normal.
A Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board spokesperson said specialist contractors were on site trying to fix the problem.
"The GP out of hours service is not affected, and patients who need to contact the GP out of hours service can do so on the usual number - 0300 123 5566," said a spokesperson.
"If members of the public need to contact Ysbyty Gwynedd, their call will be answered by the switchboard at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, and every effort will be made to deal promptly with the inquiry.
"Staff in Ysbyty Gwynedd are working extremely hard to keep all services safe and operational with the support of radios, pagers, mobiles and other specialist phones."
